Fitness test

The Ministry of Education commissioned the whole school to conduct a fitness testing activity
Objective To understand the physical fitness of students in our university
Test content height and weight, one minute sit-ups, sitting posture forward bending, standing long jump, 800 (female) / 1600 (male) meter running
Testing time November-December of each year
Testing method Testing is arranged in ordinary physical education courses
Personal Test
Objective To understand and track the physical fitness of an individual
Test content side parallel step, standing vertical jump, closed eyes one-legged standing, sit-ups, push-up, sitting posture forward bending, trunk standing up, grip strength, back muscle strength, 3 minutes to climb the steps, reaction time

Advanced Physical Education

The "one person, one specialty" of improving skills and developing sports habits is advanced learning, that is, package training, or learning modules, and the exercise learning of intermediate skills.

NTNU Common Core Education Committee Physical Education Learning Guidelines(Applicable from the beginning of the 111 academic year)

(Adopted by the 1st Academic Council of 110 on November 17, 2021)

  1. Students of the Bachelor's degree should take at least 4 credits of physical education before graduation, and the credits and grades will be counted towards the academic average and graduation credits.

  2. Courses of the same subject name and grade system may be repeated in different semesters, but may be taken up to twice, except for the "Physical Education Varsity Team" and "Physical Education (Adaptation to Physical Education)" courses.

  3. One physical education course is taken per semester. If you fail to pass the physical education course, you may take 2 courses in the second semester or the fourth year in the same semester. Only 1 course will be distributed during the course selection and distribution stage, and during the withdrawal period, you may choose the second physical education course by yourself; however, you may not take courses with the same name.

  4. Those who participate in the sports representative team of the university, as a team, after being signed by the coach of the school team and approved by the training team of the Atheletic Department, may take the sports school team course and register with the general sports team of the Common Education Committee within two weeks from the start of the semester. Elective Physical Education Varsity Teams may be recognized as common Physical Education Credits, and another 1 Physical Education Course may be taken during the same semester.

  5. Those who are unable to practise physical education courses due to injury or special factors may complete the application for the "Physical Education (Adapted to Physical Education)" course at the Health Centre within two weeks from the start of the semester.

Seven types of Curriculum Evaluation Radar Chart of Physical Education

In order to highlight the educational functions of different types of teaching materials and lay the foundation for the flexibility and diversification of teaching evaluation, it is planned to divide each sport of our physical education curriculum into seven major types according to its characteristics, and analyze the proportion of the elements of "physical fitness" and "sports literacy" of the seven major types of sports according to their characteristics, as a reference basis for the development of the educational objectives of the school's physical education curriculum.

Physical Fitness Radar Chart

Cooperate with the Ministry of Education's physical fitness testing work, from the perspective of physical fitness, understand the proportion of different types of sports and different physical fitness (cardiopulmonary endurance, muscle strength, muscle endurance, instantaneous power, softness, agility, and balance) required.

Sports Literacy Radar Chart

In addition to strengthening students' physical fitness, the purpose of the physical education curriculum of the NTNU is to cultivate students' athletic literacy, and to enhance students' sports literacy from the connotations of "discipline proficiency", "learning process", "self-realization" and "social responsibility" in accordance with the "value orientation of physical education curriculum".

Competitive sports

It includes basketball, volleyball, football, softball, soft baseball, table tennis, tennis, badminton, bowling, sepak takraw and other sports

It lies in the principle of competition and cooperation that exists in physical activity, based on understanding benign competition and cooperation, and learning to practice basic competitive abilities and various cognitive strategies

Challenging sports

Including swimming and other activities

Develop physical skills that challenge your own limits and those of others, while developing your own potential and taking the initiative to challenge your own abilities. Based on the object of the challenge, the challenge is divided into challenge records, goals, actions and skills

Artistic sports

Including modern dance, jazz dance, cheerleading, gymnastics, gymnastics games, rhythmic activities and other activities

To know the body, to know how to operate and apply, as well as to understand the aesthetic elements of physical activity and express them creatively, while appreciating various types of expression and cultural characteristics, and raising awareness of body perception

Folk sports

It includes indigenous dance, ethnic dance, indigenous dance, folk sports and other projects

By experiencing different kinds of technical manipulation, we can understand the cognition of the inheritance of skills and culture, so that they have a sense of cultural history and self-identity

Recreational sports

It includes wooden balls, health care qigong, frisbee, orienteering and other items

Recognize the personal value and social value covered by physical leisure activities in daily life, and experience the beauty of sports through the life of sports activities, and then develop personal interest sports, establish dynamic living habits, and actively create a correct leisure culture

Martial sports

It includes Tai Chi, Guoshu, Judo, Taekwondo, Boxing and other sports

Emphasis is placed on fitness, self-safety and mental training, whether in martial arts or martial arts, before successful defense or effective attack, self-strength must be strengthened, in addition, attention is also paid to the cultivation of moral character and stoicism

Adapted Physical Education

Provide students with physical and mental disabilities with opportunities to exercise through diverse and adaptable physical activities, and through step-by-step and individualized teaching, improve the motivation of students with disabilities to exercise, and gain a sense of achievement from them, hoping to have a healthy body and good physical fitness
